With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Devayne O. Bender Sr. (Pleasantville, Iowa), born in Swan, Iowa, who passed away on January 13, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Bender and Margaret Bender (Hicks); his son Devayne, Jr.; and his siblings, Patty Null, Donna Stephens and Ivyl Bender.

He is survived by: his children, Joseph Bender (Jackie) of Knoxville and Mary Bender of Salem, Missouri; his grandchildren, April, Alec, Megan, Jordan, Kalena, Jacob, Leo, Trinity and Kyler; his great grandchildren, Ollie and Payton; and his siblings, Mearle Bender of Pleasantville, Albert Bender of Knoxville, Pam Mathes of Melcher, Rick Bender of Pleasantville, Jeanie Gilderbloom of Pleasantville and Robert Bender of Pleasantville.
