Darlene Calhoun Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene Calhoun of Pleasantville, Iowa, who passed away on March 28, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Harkin and Veva Harkin (Shoemaker); her significant other James Calhoun; her sister Carolyn Brus; and her grandson James "Ryan" Calhoun.

She is survived by: her children, James Michael Calhoun of Pleasantville and Shelley Lynn DeForest (David) of Pleasantville; her grandchildren, Cody DeForest (Dani), Heath DeForest (Meghan), Cami Kay (James) and Courtney Heaberlin (Alex); her great grandchildren, Taya, Easton, Leilani, Sophia, Amaya, Merik, Gideon and Emery; her brother Dale Harkin of Overland Park, KS; and her siblings-in-law, Donna Maddy and Danny Calhoun (Ruth Ann). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
