With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cecelia Ann Mesecher (Pleasantville, Iowa), born in Ottumwa, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 21, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Hansen and Muriel Hansen (Venator); her husband Dick; and her siblings, Mitchell Hansen, Ronald Hansen, Donald Hansen, Daniel Hansen, Mary Youngman, Sharon Doty, Michael Hansen, Patrick Hansen, Hugh Hansen and Brigetta Hansen.
She is survived by: her children, Merri Lea DeWit (Tim), Ronda Dee Wicks (Scott) and Donnie Dean Mesecher; and her grandchildren, James De Wit (Heather Satterly), Ryan DeWit (Bridget Karnik), Kirk Wicks Jacob Wicks (Allison Anderson), Benjamin Wicks, Kyla Mesecher and Kelton Milani.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bertrand Funeral Homes (Mason Funeral Home) (902 N State St, Pleasantville, IA 50225).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasantville E.M.S.
