She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Ray and Doreen May Bertrand (Routson); and her brother Rick Bertrand (Gene Dawson). She is survived by: her spouse Gene Dawson; her sons, Jason (Robbie), Rob (Brandy), Nick (Jen) and Matt (Ashli); her grandchildren, Hannah, Ryen, Eli, Drew, Caylie, Addie, Braylon, Ava, Christian, Evan, Gracie, Kameron, Ethan, Bailey and Archer; and her sister Jackie Manson (Dave).

Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bertrand Funeral Homes (Mason Funeral Home) (902 N State St, Pleasantville, IA 50225). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
