He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Tony Bassett (Roxanne) of Urbandale and Rita Chapman (Glenn) of Loves Park; his grandchildren, Jay Chapman of Columbia, MO, Micah Bassett (Tabitha) of Lawrence, KS, Jonah Bassett of Urbandale, Val Chapman (Meagan) of Madison, WI, Sarah Champion (Andrew) of Waukee, Kip Chapman of Ft Polk, LA, Noah Bassett of Urbandale and Lia Chapman of Ames; and his brother Kenneth of Winterset. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
