Joyce Marie Sutter Pohl Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2024, at the age of 92, Joyce Marie Sutter Pohl of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, born in West Quincy, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli Sutter and Elizaeth Grimm Sutter; her husband Robert Pohl; her son Michael Robert; and her brothers, James Sutter (Naomi Heimer) and Dick Sutter.

She is survived by: her brother Bob Frieden (Marilyn) of Pahrump, Nevada; her children, Tina Hoerr (Ben) of Peoria, IL, Becky Behrens (Ron) of Pleasant Hill, IA and Mathew (Dawn) of Broomfield, CO; her daughter-in-law Dawn Pohl of Rainer, OR; and her grandchildren, Emily Pool, Jenna Hoerr, Philip Hoerr, Casey Hoerr, Elly Zerillo, Claire Behrens, Zach Pohl, Krista Pohl, Ariel Pohl, Matty Dunlap, Caleb Pohl, Lindsay Hanzlick, Josiah Pohl, Anthony Zerillo, Troy Dunlap, Kip Massner and Chad Massner. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 5:30 PM, at 6:30 PM and on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Apostolic Christian Church (100 Co Rd 313, Taylor, MO 63471).

Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House Unity Point Hospice in Des Moines, IA, or the Compassion Fund at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ankeny IA.
