He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. D. L. Borgen and Helen Borgen. He is survived by: his children, Don J Borgen (Mari) of Pleasant Hill, Todd Borgen of Firestone, Tony Borgen of Pleasant Hill and Michelle Wyatt of Maple Grove, Minnesota.; his grandchildren, Bree Wyatt, Samantha Wyatt, Carli Borgen, Natalie Borgen, Lynsey Borgen, Jonah Borgen, Abigail Borgen and Madeline Borgen; and his great grandchild Ella Borgen-Hill.
