Betty L. Henry Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty L. Henry of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, who passed away on June 6, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty L. Henry to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Leo Sarsfield and Ena Mary Sarsfield (Lane); her husband Dick Henry; her in-laws, Gilbert and Ethel Henry; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Eckhardt (Ed), Norma Poehlein and Wally Wray.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne, David (Sherri) and Alan (Peggy); her grandchildren, Cole, Brandon (Hannah), Austin (Jordyn), Cody (Jayme) and Amber Becker (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Treyce, Kashtyn, Eleanor, Raylan, Hucklee, Legynd and Lilly; and her siblings-in-law, Jan Wray and Vernon Poehlein. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Betty served as a poll worker and precinct chair for over 40 years retiring in 2019 just prior to the onset of the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be distributed per Betty's wishes to Drake University Basketball and Wesley Life at Home Hospice.
