He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carl Ruehs and Emilie Foelske Ruehs; his wife Mildred Selma Kohagen; and his sisters, Ruth Schwemm (Carl), Esther Bergmann (Leland) and Darlene Niedert (Randall).
He is survived by: his children, Dixie Kramer (Darrel) of Plainfield, Sheila Evancie (Thomas) of Auburn, CA, Michael Ruehs (Mishell) of Plainfield and Julie Lewis of Kansas City, MO.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
