It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Wefel of Plainfield, Iowa, born in Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Lowell Hugo Busch; and her grandparents, Chris, Caroline Busch, Albert and Caroline Nerge.
She is survived by: her mother Marvel Elner (Nerge) of Tripoli; her husband Mike Wefel of John's Crane Creek Church; her children, DeAnn Nixt (Anthony) of Waverly, Desa Lambert (Albert) of Cedar Falls, Dana Van Otegham (Joe) of Victor and Curtis Wefel of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Isaac Nixt, Alana Nixt, Blake Van Otegham and Kannen Van Otegham; and her siblings, Janis Haight (Richard) of Waterloo, Jenise Mauer (Brian) of Denver, Julene Mauer (Derwin) of Independence, Duane Busch (Tammy) of Tripoli, Dale Busch (Jody) of Waverly and Lowell Busch (Cathy) of Sumner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
