He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Gifford and Kay Gifford (Townsend); his in-laws, Jerry and Mary Knight; his brother-in-law Gary Casady; and his close friend Terry Garvey.
He is survived by: his wife Carla Gifford of Pilot Mound; his sons, Wayne Gifford (Samantha) of Boone and Jerry Gifford (Jess) of Boone; his grandchildren, Braden, Braxton of Boone, Zack, Emily of North Carolina and Macon of Boone; his siblings, Dixie Casady of Boone and Craig Gifford of Sioux City; and his brother-in-law Jeff Knight (Jamie) of Boone. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
