He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Robert Sr. and Sarah Lorraine Lass (Parks); and his siblings, Donald "Buddy" Lass Jr., Keith Lass and Sharon Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Schwarte of Pilot Mound; his children, Scott Koppit of Pilot Mound, Tracy Alvarez (William), Cuebas of Ames and Trisha Odhiambo (Kenneth) of Grand Rapids, MI; his grandchildren, Kaydin Milani of Ames, Madison (Joey Romero) of Coulter, Eli and Zane Odhiambo of Grand Rapids, MI; his uncle Lloyd Lass of Pahrump, NV; his niece Shona Lass; and his nephew Billy Myers. He is also survived by numerous friends and relatives.
