He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee Roy and Cora G. Bennett (Hamilton); his daughter Christine Bennett; and his grandson Marcus Cosby Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Bennett and Deborah Bennett-Johnson (John); his grandchildren, Andrea Stovall, Lacie Helmrichs, Antonio Stovall, Scottie Love, Mikel Houston II and Tyrell Houston; his brother Bob Bennett; his nephew Jason Bennett; and his pet Molly.
