He was predeceased by: his wife Bev; his daughter Kathy Wesely; his parents, Frank Wesely and Mary Wesely; his siblings, Jerry Wesely, Richard Wesely, Donald Wesely, Genevieve Keller and Dorothy Schoenert; his parents-in-law, George Drinken and Elsie Drinken; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Schoenert, Ken Keller, Merle Wehr, Richard Moravec, Daniel Elzen, Lyle Kohler, Gene Bradley, Marge Wesely, Jane Wesely, Ione Kohler, Nelda Luft and Arlene Wehr.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Stewart (Jeff) of Perry, IA and Kurt Wesely (Trish) of Crossville, TN; his sister Mary Kruger (Dave) of Owatonna, MN; his grandchildren, Mandy Stewart (Steve Lage) of Roland, IA, Tara Wesely of Nashville, TN, Mindy Baxter (Kyle) of Perry, IA, Logan Wesely and Tyler Wesely of Crossville, TN; his great grandchildren, Reese, Cash and Charlie Baxter of Perry, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Barb Wesely, Ramona Wesely, Veta Moravec, Elise Elzen, Betty Bradley, Mildred Wymore (Don) and Joanne Madson (Maynard). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Perry Chapel (1721 Park St, Perry, IA 50220). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (1312 3rd St, Perry, IA 50220).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the Perry Booster Club.
