He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earl and Gertrude Thompson (Anderson); his brother Everett Thompson; and his brother-in-law Bob Bourne. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Thompson of Perry, IA; his children, Teresa Thompson of Prairie City, IA and Bradley Thompson of Southaven, MS; and his siblings, Marge Bourne of Ames, IA, Norma Holland (Marv) of Ames, IA, Grace Engen (Roger) of Ames, IA and Arnold Thompson (Marj) of Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
