He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Faber and Mary Faber (Reeves); his son Donald; his son-in-law Jerry Svoboda; and his siblings, Lavina Thurwanger, Joseph Faber, Matthew "Dale" Faber and Mary Ellen Thurwanger.
He is survived by: his wife Neva Faber; his children, Linda Svoboda, Charles Faber (Patricia) and Allan Faber (Debbie); his daughter-in-law Pam Faber; his grandchildren, Kevin Worcester (Elizabeth), Jason Worcester, Melissa Sleasman (Matthew), Ryan Faber (Alison), Mary Senters (Roy), Margaret Walters, Phyllis Burns (Chris), Jared Faber, Josiah Faber (Linda), Nathan Faber (Christy), Leah Forgo (Vincent), Aaron Faber and Lydia Faber; and his sisters, Lulu Jean Zuercher and Georgene Tegeler (Larry). He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Until Covid shut things down when he turned 92, he faithfully drove into Perry on Monday mornings to offer a Bible study to the "old folk" (as he termed them) at the Rowley nursing home (now the Eden Acres campus of Perry Lutheran Homes).
