She is survived by: her children, Robin Pickell of Perry, Teresa Wheeler of Perry, Shawn Wheeler of Perry, Phillip Wheeler Jr. (Irene) of Des Moines and Kim Gates of Independence; her siblings, Carol Laird (Gail) and Robert Schirman (Marilyn); and her aunt Velma Bailey of Perry. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
