She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar F. Burgmeyer and Frances E. Lannon Burgmeyer; her husband Merlin E. Simon; her parents-in-law, Emmet and Kathleen; her daughter-in-law Tina Simon; her siblings, Lynn Burgmeyer, Joy Burgmeyer and Michael Burgmeyer; and her in-laws, Marie, Doris and Irwin.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Simon of Cascade, David Simon (Dana) of Cascade and Shane Simon (Patti) of Cascade; her grandchildren, Jordan, Bryce (Regann Pfeiler), Brock, Dilan, Carter, Tanner, Travis, Chase, Evan (Karina) and Blake; and her in-laws, Jeanette Kremer (Paul), Loras Simon (Mary Ann), Marian Armstrong (Dave), Lucy Sutherland, Matt Simon (Jean), Lee Simon (Connie), Tom Simon (Sherry), Bob Budden (Linda), Steve McElmeel, Luann Simon and Sue Burgmeyer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Hospice of Dubuque and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
