James D. Weydert Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James D. Weydert of Peosta, Iowa, who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Weydert and Dolores Weydert; his brother Gery Weydert; and his in-laws, Matthew, Mildred Maas, Lloyd Kramer, Irwin "Red" Horsfield, Jeanne Weydert, Judi Weydert, Kathy Weydert, Bob, Dorothy Schilling, Mary Maas, Earl Maas, Patricia Maas, John Tracey, Ron Pitz, Helen, Ed Burds, Marian, Tom Gloeckner and Pete Dietz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Doris Weydert (Bob Strong), Susan Kedley (Greg) and Lynn Stelken (Steve); his grandchildren, Shannon Winders (Lauren Machanis), Amber Martin, Kyle Kedley, Katrina Scherr (Andrew), Brett Kedley (Aly), Travis Stelken (Caitlin) and Austin Stelken (Brooke); his siblings, Elaine Tracey, Lois Laughlin (Allen), Joyce Horsfield, Janet Pitz, Marilyn Kettmann (John), Marlene Kramer, Jack Weydert, Tom Weydert (Donna), Dave Weydert, Jerome Weydert (Marty), Joe Weydert and Bill Weydert (Janice); and his sister-in-law Arlene Dietz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A prayer was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church (241 Peosta St, Peosta, IA 52068). Visitation was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (241 Peosta St, Peosta, IA 52068).
