She was predeceased by: her parents, Nettie Allen (Duhr) and Robert Allen; her husband Robert M. McCarthy; her sisters-in-law, Mary Smith of Graf and Joan Schmidt (Eldon); her daughter Roberta Holden; and her sons-in-law, Thomas McClimon and Les Holden.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne Wagner (Les) of Dubuque and Patrick McCarthy of Long Grove; her grandchildren, Dawn Blasen of Solon, IA, Michelle Schmelzer (Cole) of Dubuque, Elizabeth Goodwin (Michael) of Dubuque, Kris Nirk (Natalie) of Bixby Oklahoma and Matthew McClimon (Patty) of Columbus Ohio; and her great grandchildren, Sterling, Storm Blasen-Hoerner, Ryley, Benjamin Schmelzer, PeparLex Goodwin, Savanna, Ava, Alivia Nirk, Drew, Zach and Will McClimon. She is also survived by Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
