He is survived by: his wife Ladonna Brand; his family, Kayla McCannon (Doug Scott), Lucas, Rylie, Kelli Van Zee (Ousmane Mussa Oumarou), Kaysan, Samir, Amina, Abraham, Tyler Van Zee (Jen), Beckett, Weston and Liam; his sister Joyce Vos (Alvin) of Endwell; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Heethuis (Bill) of Caledonia, Connie Vander Hart (Tom) of Pella and Bonita Kreber of Waukee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home (1301 Main St, Pella, IA 50219). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church (408 Maple St, Pella, IA 50219). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Sully Cemetery (12772 Hwy F62 E, Sully, IA 50251).

Terry overcame a brain tumor in 2017 and lived a full life until a Parkinson's diagnosis in 2022.
