She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Bogaards and Henrietta Bogaards (Menninga); her husband John Lee Van Waardhuizen; her parents-in-law, Gerrit and Dirkie Van Waardhuizen; her grandson Dr. Jesse Van Waardhuizen; her siblings, Shirley Stursma (Paul), Gerald Bogaards (Mattie) and Lawrence Bogaards (Harriett); and her brothers-in-law, Harris Van Waardhuizen (Norma), Alvin Van Waardhuizen (Charlotte), Bill Van Waardhuizen (Rose) and Ray Van Hal.
She is survived by: her sister Ruth Van Hal.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home (1301 Main St, Pella, IA 50219). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Church (1020 E Oskaloosa St, Pella, IA 50219).
