He was predeceased by: his parents, David Verros and Julia Verros (Van Arkel); and his parents-in-law, Francis G and Francene Poortinga. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Poortinga; his children, Steve Verros (Zena) and Lynn Verros; his granddaughters, Megan Vanderpool (Brian) and Sarah Lyons (Tyler); his great grandchild Liam Lyons; his siblings, Marvin Verros, Myra Verros and Gene; and his sister-in-law Helen Poortinga. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
