He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Mitchell and Mary Mitchell (Coffey); his son-in-law Ryan Mueller; and his nephew Travis Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Barb Mitchell of Pella; his children, Wendi Smith (Brandon) of New Sharon, Alison Kramer (Brent) of Cedar Rapids, Michael Mitchell (Kelly) of New Sharon and Ashley Mueller (Jacob Jackson) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Hayley Pinkerton, Nash Smith, Kincaid Mitchell, Sawyer Mitchell, Trey Mitchell, Syler Mitchell, Shelby McGriff (Chris Kubli), Chelsey McGriff (Clayton Wagler), Braxton Murphy, Victoria Murphy and Vanessa Murphy; his great grandchild Cooper Wagler; and his siblings, Tom Mitchell (Peggy) of Gainesville, FL and Brenda Sparks (Charlie) of New Sharon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
