He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Van Roekel and Nellie Breuklander; and his wife Betty. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Broer (Philip) of Iowa Falls, Karen Van Roekel of Alexandria and Kirk Van Roekel (Young) of Elgin, Texas; his grandchildren, Sarah Broer (Ryder), Henry Broer, Sarah Clark, Ace Van Roekel and David Van Roekel; and his siblings, Art Van Roekel and Marcia Van Roekel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
