He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Steenhoek and Anna Steenhoek; his siblings, Betty Hessing (Pete), Jim Steenhoek and Esther VerMeer; and his granddaughter Brandi Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Marge Roozeboom; his daughters, Lori Iles (Mark) and Daphne Willis (Scott); his grandchildren, David Iles (Allie), Sarah Millner (Kyle), Katie Iles (Michael Wuestenberg) and Mia Stewart-Willis (Shay); and his great grandchild Jack Wesley Iles.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Stein's memory can be made to the Pella Community Foundation, the Pella Historical Society, and Third Church.
