She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Steenhoek and Anna Steenhoek (Van Zee); her sister Betty (Steenhoek); her brother-in-law Pete Hessing; her parents-in-law, Jeanette Ver Meer (Vander Wal) and Anthony Ver Meer; and her brother-in-law James Van Engelenhoven.

She is survived by: her husband Owen Dean Ver Meer; her grandchildren, Michael, Janet Ver Meer (Hiemstra) of Pella, Rachel Ver Meer and Dominick Ver Meer; her brothers, James (Sheryl Steenhoek) and Loren (Marge Steenhoek); and her siblings-in-law, Carol Van Engelenhoven of Pella, Iowa and Eugene (Sandra Ver Meer) of Pella, IA.. She is also survived by her three children.
