She was predeceased by: her parents, James Zwarte and Nettie De Zwarte (Verros); her parents-in-law, Simon and Winnie Steenhoek; her siblings, Dorothy Terlouw (Apollas), Marvin De Zwarte (AnnaBelle), Raymond De Zwarte (Mildred), Jaybe Steenhoek (Ada) and Simon Jr. Steenhoek; and her great great grandchild Ryker Boender.
She is survived by: her spouse Gilford Steenhoek; her children, Gary, Carol and David; her brother Loren De Zwarte of Knoxville; and her sister-in-law Corinne Steenhoek of Pella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
