He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald F. Blair and Marjorie A. Blair (Height); and his parents-in-law, Wesley and Wilma Sandell. He is survived by: his wife Jane; his siblings, Neil Blair of Kansas City, Missouri, Kelly (Becky Blair), Jane (Brad Boswell), Gene (Janet Sandell) and Don (Joan Sandell); and his aunt Marvel Gerk of Mankato, Minnesota. He is also survived by twelve nephews/nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Peace Prayer Garden or the Iowa Bandmasters Association Endowment Fund.
