He is survived by: his wife Gladys Van Peursem; his children, Brenda Thiesse, Henry Baxter of Denton, Benjamin, Josie Thiesse of Charlotte, Gemma, Eliza, Matthew, Christy Thiesse of Killamarsh, Lily, Jude, Andrew, Lauren Thiesse of Crownsville, Daniel, Lexi Thiesse of Crowley, William, Emmett, Glenda, Chad Vander Wilt, Ashley Vander Wilt, Dennis, Michelle Bogaards of Pella, Adam Bogaards and Abbey Bogaards; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Bogaards, Lorena VanDerKamp and Ronald Van Peursem. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home (1301 Main St, Pella, IA 50219). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Third Church (708 E 13th St, Pella, IA 50219). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetery (1308 Columbus St, Pella, IA 50219).
