With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cornie Van Hal of Pella, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Hal and Dena Van Hal (Spoelstra); his parents-in-law, Peter and Henrietta Hoksbergen; his siblings, Sophia (Don Bennink), Evelyn (Jim Vanden Oever), Jennie, Helene Van Hal, Geurt, Gerrit, Raymond and Jerry Van Hal; and his siblings-in-law, Glenn Summers, Dale Van Genderen and Dorothy Hoksbergen.
He is survived by: his wife Marinella Hoksbergen; his children, Carla (Byron Vander Molen), Jessica Vander Molen of Pella, Janelle (Justin Geiger), Rhys, Arvin (Brenda Van Hal), Amy (Brady Davidson), Emily (Triver Ndungu), Taji, Enzi, Roger (Lanai Van Hal), Adam (Shayla Van Hal), David (Haley Van Hal), Katelyn, Adalyn and Joshua Van Hal of Sully; his sisters, Darlene Summers and Nancy Jensen (Carl) of Golden, Colorado; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Van Hal of Homer Glen, Shirley of Pella, Ruth of Pella, Darlene Van Hal of Pella, Betty Van Genderen (Gerald Nunnikhoven) of Pella and Robert Hoksbergen of Grundy Center.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home (1301 Main St, Pella, IA 50219). A committal service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (2051 Eaton Ave, Leighton, IA 50143). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church (408 Maple St, Pella, IA 50219).
