We are sad to announce that on May 26, 2023, at the age of 89, Marlys A. Tewes of Paullina, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Shafer and Anna Shafer (Hinz); her husband Orville Tewes; her son Brian Tewes; and her siblings, Wally Shafer, Leora Ebel, Carol Wieben and Betty Alleven.

She is survived by: her sons, Joel (Kim Tewes), Shelley (Kathy Tewes) and Mike Tewes of Sutherland; her grandchildren, Nick and Angie Tewes; her great grandchild Adalynn; her grandchildren, Barry and Jackie Tewes; her great grandchildren, Tanner, Collin, Owen, Ryan, Chellene Tewes, Daniel Tewes, Tracey and Mat Ahrenstorff; and also, Treven, Brielle, Eliza, Garrison, Myles and Gavin.
