He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Strampe and Helen Idso Strampe; his wife Harriet Hladky; his siblings, Palmer Strampe (Pink) and Donna Rotzler; and his grandson Greg Heetland.
He is survived by: his children, Rita Samuelson (Lowell) of Ankeny, IA, Julie Heetland (Lonnie) of Spirit Lake, IA, Lisa Axtell (Larry) of St. Petersburg, FL, Scott Strampe (Mary) of Eden Prairie, MN and Perry Strampe (Pam) of St. Petersburg, FL.. He is also survived by his five children and their spouses; 10 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
