Dixie Mengel Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Witcraft and Leone Witcraft (Koebrich). She is survived by: her children, Deb Nugent (Marty) of Nevada, Danie Roper of Paton, Joe Mengel (Cathy) of Des Moines, Jeff Mengel (Becky) of Elgin, IL, Diane Allison (Jim) of Clive, Jed Mengel (Deb) of Des Moines and Jim Mengel (Bethany) of Des Moines; and her spouse Dean Mengel. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in Dixie's name to the Paton Public Library. ———————————– Dixie Mengel, the daughter of Earl and Leone (Koebrich) Witcraft, was born February 8, 1932 at Fraser, Iowa and passed from this life April 25, 2020 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
