He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Redding and Bertha Redding (Oliver); his brother Bill Redding; and his son Timothy Jay "TJ" Redding. He is survived by: his wife Doris Hershberger; his siblings, Tom Redding (Gay) of Bussey, Iowa and Sally Murphy of Chariton; and his sister-in-law Dororthy Miller (Cletus) of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for Kalona Mennonite Church.
