He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Sr. Humphrey and Ruth Humphrey (Oulman); his brother George Humphrey; his son-in-law Karl Soucie; his siblings-in-law, Harm Wallerstein, Willard Geiken, Aldrick Kneppe, Harvey Kneppe, Dick Christians, Augusta Kneppe, Angeline Christians and Margaret Kneppe; and his stepgrandson Jeff Butterbaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Kristin Goodell (Greg) of Shenandoah, Steven Humphrey (Gloria) of Des Moines, Miles III Humphrey (Judi) of Charles City, Richard Humphrey (Rhonda) of Parkersburg, Marjorie Reif (Don) of Rochester, Melanie Butterbaugh (Len) of Council Bluffs, Penelope Soucie of Davenport, Leslie McClaflin (John) of Weatherby Lake and Bradley Humphrey (Julie) of Maple Grove, Minnesota; his sisters-in-law, Marian Humphrey of Concrete, Madaline Geiken of Ackley and Joy Kneppe of Parkersburg; and his cousins, Joyce and Roger Marks of Allison, Iowa.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 considerations, the family will be having a Celebration of Life Service in 2021.
