We bid farewell to Marian Joan Sherman of Parkersburg, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 7, 2025 at the age of 93. Marian touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her mother Johanna Wilhelmina Kruse (Gerdes); her husband Melvin Sherman; her grandson Matthew Sherman; her sisters, Elinore Aiken and Esther; her brothers-in-law, Rolly Aiken and Bob Clark; and her nephews, Steven Aiken, John Aiken and Tim Clark.
She is survived by: her children, Keith Sherman (Vicki) of Centerville, Daryl Sherman (Joyce) of Lake Mills, Paul Sherman (Donna) of Parkersburg, Loren Sherman (Shelly) of Parkersburg and Mary Sherman (Todd Hanson) of Arthur; her grandchildren, Jonathan Sherman, Erin Davis (Josh), David Sherman (Kelly), Loren Sherman (Ashley), Daniel Sherman (Abigail), Michael Sherman, Suzanne Neuroth (Kirk), Heather Sharp (Kyle) and Travis Sherman (Lacy); and her siblings, Loren John Kruse (Liz) of Ankeny and Dorothy Clark of Grundy Center. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Hope Reformed Church (611 4th St, Parkersburg, IA 50665).
