She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Berends and Katie Berends (Hovenga); her daughter-in-law Stacy Nitcher; and her brothers, Leonard and Everett "Bud" Berends.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Nitcher; her children, Steve Nitcher (Becky) of Denver, IA, Buck Nitcher of Parkersburg, IA and Cheryl Flessner (John) of Wellsburg, IA; her grandchildren, Maggie Mehmen (Justin), Jesse Nitcher (Mandi), Mackenzie Hippen, Katie LeBahn (Cody), Michael Siems (Ashley) and Joseph Nitcher; her great grandchildren, Kael, Lindsey, Ellie, Carter, Ruby, Stella, Lyza and Emryn; and her sister Mary Ann Ragan (Ronnie) of Broken Arrow, OK. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
