He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Sonny" Henry and Margaret Anita Aalfs (Alter); and his brother Lowell Aalfs. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Buss Miller; his daughters, Melissa Aalfs of Cedar Rapids and Miekka Aalfs of Aplington, Iowa; his stepchildren, Stacy Miller of Waterloo, Jamie Miller (Paige) of Cedar Falls and Jonny Miller of Parkersburg; his stepgrandchildren, Jordan, Estelle, Evelyn, Waylon, Harlyn and Abe; his brother Loren Aalfs (Deb) of Cedar Falls; and his nephews, Tyler and Quinn Aalfs. He is also survived by many brother and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (701 3rd Ave, Parkersburg, IA 50665). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
