He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Truax and Iva Truax (Hart). He is survived by: his wife Linda Pohlson; his children, Kelly Truax of Cedar Rapids, Kevin Truax (Amy) of Parkersburg and Katy O'Shea (Jim) of Oak Lawn, Illinois.; and his grandchildren, Kiersten Truax, Grant Truax, Nora O'Shea, Jimmy O'Shea and Bridget O'Shea.
