He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Larry, Jolene Bonefas, Duane Shadle, Leo, Muriel Kafer and Stanley Hageman.

He is survived by: his parents, David Kafer and Emilie Kafer (Shadle); his siblings, Hayden and Jentry Kafer; his grandparents, Jenn, Jason Johnson of Clarksville, Blaine Shadle of Waverly, Patrick and Luann Kafer of Waterloo, Iowa; his aunts, Aubrey Bonefas, Katie Johnson (Tanner) and Lisa Shaw (Kevin); and his uncle Blake Johnson (Landree).
