He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeb Cornish and Lottie Cornish (Lookingbill); his brother Bill; his sister-in-law Barbara Cornish; his nephew Mark Cornish; and his sister-in-law Vernona Dubes.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Cornish of Panora; his daughters, LuAnn Tamisiea (Bruce) of Okoboji and Lori Raup (Tim) of Panora; and his grandchildren, C. J. Cave, Kelsey Parker (David), Tyler Tamisiea (Michaela), Reid Tamisiea (Sara) and Brooke Tredway (Chad). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
