He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Zapf and Imelda Zapf (Loso); his wife Diane Baker; and his siblings, Mike, Johnny, Frank "Butz" Zapf and Maryann Zachman.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Zapf (Lynette) of Rogers, AR, Chris Dowd (Robert) of Altoona, Kathy Moline of Panora and Kelly Mullane (Sean); and his siblings, Bill Zapf of Cold Spring, MN and Jeanette "Pi" Peterson of Virginia, MN.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
