She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo "Pete" and Amelia Downey (Gordon); and her sisters, Anne Porterfield and Colette Downey. She is survived by: her husband Leonard Simons; her children, Michael Simons of California, Lisa Stang (Mike) of Illinois, Laura Luke (Don) of Ohio and Mark Simons (Jodi); and her brother Patrick Downey. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
