She was predeceased by: her mother Gladys Ruemper (Brockway); her husband Bill Harris of Elkhart; her father Raymond Samuel Ruemper; her sister Sharon West of Des Moines; and her son-in-law Roger Sydnes of Ames.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Harris of Elkhart and Kim Sydnes; and her grandsons, Sam of Ames and Andy of Ames. She is also survived by nephew and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
