She was predeceased by: her parents, Elston Hester and Mary Hester (Middleton); her husband Anthony "Tony" Flanery; her son Michael; and her siblings, Pat Young and Eldon "Fuzzy" Hester.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Van Winkle (Dan) of Panora, Pat Flanery (Janet) of Adel, Dan Flanery (Sheila) of Panora, Tom Flanery (Kellie) of Panora and Kathy Jo Morris (Craig) of Yale; and her siblings, Janet Dolan of Springfield, MO, Jack Hester of Cedar Falls and Keith Hester of New Zealand. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
