He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Swenson and Eileen Swenson (Thoreson); his parents-in-law, Roy and Maire Lauritsen; his sister Delores Swenson; and his brother-in-law Bill Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Swenson (Lauritsen) of Panora; his children, Sarah Petersen (Mike) of Waukee, Erin Bouslaugh (Brad) of Ankeny, Iowa and Jacob Swenson (Melanie) of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Thea, Abram, Clara, Ava, Brycen, Aubrey and Freya; and his siblings, Carolyn Sward (Jim), Mary Frances Mason, Dennis Lauritsen (Jane) and Daryle Lauritsen (Deb). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
