It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Irene Bascom (Panora, Iowa), who passed away on November 8, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick S. Whitman and Beulah L. Whitman (Stillson); her husband Ben Sr.; and her siblings, Ruth Bryan, Phyllis Wright, Yvonne Brandt and Roger Whitman.
She is survived by: her spouse Benjamin Bascom; and her children, Steven Bascom (Glenda) of Guthrie Center, Richard Bascom (Diane) of Elkhart, Ben Bascom, Jr. (Sharon) of Waukee and Susan Schlinsog (Anthony) of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
