She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hand and Olavia Hand (Miller); and her husband Bill Ahern. She is survived by: her son Michael Shaun; her granddaughter Kathryn Cecelia; her pet Molly; her daughter Sonja Ahern of Fairbanks; her grandchildren, Kelly and Daniel; her children, Kathy and Chris Hartwiger of Birmingham; her grandchildren, Erin and Ben; and her siblings, John Hand (Ruth) of Emmetsburg, Philip Hand (Kathy) of Woodburn, Oregon and Jean Griffith (Boyd) of El Paso, Texas. She is also survived by nieces and nephew; and many friends.
