We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2024, at the age of 97, Melvin Young of Palo, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Lynn Young; his parents, Clarence Young and Coda Young (Neal); and his wife Mildred Faye Rehder. He is survived by: his children, Larry Young of Tucson, AZ, Steven Young (Mary) of Palo, Debbie Hauserman (Bill) of St. Simons Island, GA, Jeff Young (Collette) of Dunnellon, FL and Doug Young of Palo. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palo United Methodist Church in Memory of Melvin Young would be appreciated. Please indicate if you would like your donation used for the church's general fund or the Mike Wood Memorial Food Pantry located in the church's Fellowship Hall.
